Bobby L. Parks, 82, died Friday September 6, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.
He leaves his wife of 64 years, Sue (Edmonson) Parks; mother Nellie Parks; children, Sherry Hillis, Kim Thornton, and Teddy Parks; six grandchildren, four great- grandchildren and extended family including close friends.
He was born in Hickory Plains and lived in Lonoke. Bobby is the son of Ralph and Nellie (Pinson)Parks
He is proceeded in death by his father Ralph Parks, sister Glenda Ricks and granddaughter April Hillis
In his earlier years, Bobby served on the Lonoke county fair board, was a member of the Vilonia Wagon, Saddle Club, the Lonoke Saddle Club and the Local Lion's Club.
Bobby made his living as a mechanic with John Deere for over 32 years and then continued as Bobby Parks equipment repair service.
Bobby had a dedication to building wagon's and harnesses for family and friends. His other interests were fishing, hunting and spending time at his cabin at the White River. His pride and joy was spending time teaching his great - grandkids how to carry on the legacy of his many talents.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 8th, from 3-5pm at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe and Funeral Celebration will be Monday September 9th at 2pm, with the burial at Hebron Cemetery.
