Frances Ann Tolliver, 76, passed away May 12, 2020. She was born to the late William and Bertha Plante on November 28, 1943 in Beebe, Arkansas.
Fran accomplished many things in life, from obtaining a degree in criminal justice, leading trail rides, and earning a doctoral degree and teaching writing at UALR, to earning the State Championship Lady Bass Angler. She and Gene were well known for owning and operating Maumelle Harbor Marina for many years.
She was an excellent artist, and loved drawing, watercolor painting, and pastels. Until her stroke, she was active with the White County Historical Society, and even authored a book.
She is preceded in death by Gene Tolliver, brother Louis Plante, and Aunt Opal Boggs.
Fran is survived by her daughter, Geneanne Spann (Cliff), two grandchildren, Ella and Austin Spann, nephew Billy Plante (Kathy), extended family including the Gravitt and Jones families and many friends.
